We offer a variety of the most popular formats for wedding photography. The chart below shows the advantages of each. You may choose the format or combination of formats you would like us to use, or better yet, let us decide which will work best for your wedding.

35mm Medium Format Digital
Great for outside beach locations and sunsets.
Negs. are almost 3 times as big as 35mm - little film grain if you are over-enlarging.
Ability to shoot more images for a greater selection.
Can capture spontaneous fast action such as a dove release. For the photographic purist, this format is still preferred. Great for outside beach locations and sunsets.
More frames per roll than medium format. Great for close-up and still portraits. Wide range of computer-based editing and retouching available.
Wider selection of lenses for a variety of available poses and locations.

Can capture spontaneous action such as a dove release. Wider selection of lenses (like 35mm).
Less re-loading than medium format.   The flexibility to change your images from color to B&W, sepia, tinting and so much more.
All your images are on a disk and therefore you can e-mail them to friends immediately, back them up for safeguarding or print them at home for fun.
No hassles with developing labs. Better developing availability options. Cheaper developing costs.
    No film grain at all.
No lost time from reloading film. Almost true continuous shooting for up to 200-300 frames without changing digital film disks.

We are currently shooting weddings on film and with a digital camera. In our opinion, digital is equal to or better than 35mm, provided you use a professional digital camera.
